The IoT Security Foundation is a partner in the exciting and innovative ‘ManySecured’ Collaborative Intelligent Network Gateway project (funded by InnovateUK). The ManySecured project aims to protect consumers and enterprises from the security risks posed by IoT devices through ‘Interoperable Security’ at the gateway, through collaboration with industry partners.

The ManySecured Gateway project partners will develop publicly available specifications, developer resources and a certification program aimed at hub/gateway vendors, in a bid to deliver secured IoT deployments, which are resilient to attack throughout their lifecycle.

The aim of the project is to develop ‘ManySecured CERTIFIED’ as an internationally-recognised seal of approval for products. This will allow manufacturers to adopt and take advantage of the benefits of ManySecured branding in their own products. The IoTSF is establishing a Special Interest Group (SIG) to bring additional industry partners into the project to meet this aim.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The role is to provide IoTSF technical and project management the progress of the SIG.
The role is primarily home based.

Responsibilities include:

• To act as the ‘Editor’ and help draft, and working with the project partners facilitate and manage the production and publication of:

➢ Use cases
➢ ‘Problem Statements’
➢ Value propositions
➢ Specifications
➢ A Roadmap of what the standards/project will cover as a way of focusing and managing contributions

• Act as technical advocate for the ManySecured project:

➢ Help recruit new stakeholder partners to the project
➢ Giving presentations at IoTSF, external conferences, online events and webinars
➢ Writing technical articles and maintaining a blog on the ManySecured website
➢ Field/answer technical questions from prospective new partners/external parties

• Running, taking and distribution SIG meeting minutes/actions

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:

• Deep understanding of IoT cyber security
• 5+ years industry experience
• Science or technical degree desirable
• Experience of working with standards bodies would be an advantage
• Strong planning & time management skills
• Excellent communicator who is comfortable making presentations, using social media and writing blogs as required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Self-Starter, confident, able to work autonomously
• Natural enthusiasm and energy for all things IoT security related
