About the Company

TechWorks is a new type of industry association at the core of the UK deep tech community with an ambition to harness the UK's leading engineering and innovation and develop its position as a global technology super-power. TechWorks has established a novel membership model based around a series of Connected Communities each of which serves members' interest whilst at the same time remaining connected to a wider ecosystem enabling cross-domain connections and work towards common challenges.

The Role

We operate a hybrid working policy with 2-3 days per week working from our Livingston office. We are looking to appoint a positive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for all things digital. The role will play an important part in supporting the marketing and communications team and all digital activities for the company and its communities, including the day-to-day running of our social media channels.

Main duties include:

  • Create engaging B2B industry content for social and digital platforms
  • Manage the day-to-day marketing activities across TechWorks member communities
  • Build and expand our audience by driving inbound traffic to our sites and interest in our activities, contributing to our longer-term goals
  • Stakeholder engagement for our priority themes and activities
  • Update the company and community websites
  • Create digital assets specific for TechWorks and its communities
    Assist with event planning and delivery (IRL/digital)
  • Contribute to the production of member focussed reports and collateral
    Continual monitoring of our communications activities using analytics tools and generating monthly reports


  • Ideally you will be qualified to degree level and / or a qualification from the chartered institute of marketing, with at least 2 years’ experience. Significant demonstrable experience will also be considered where no marketing qualification is available
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
    Knowledge and experience of relevant social media and digital platforms
  • IT literate with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience using Adobe programs including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication, administration, and organisational skills
  • A team player, but also able to take ownership of independent work
  • Strong command of the English language both written and spoken.
