AESIN Chair Monthly Update : March 2020

9th March 2020 | hidden

Welcome to our first Newsletter of 2020 and my first Chairman’s address.

At the Government / Global level we were delighted to be invited by the Automotive Council UK to lead their “Enabling Electronic Components” workstream within the ICAM Group. We would like to congratulate our Security Workstream Chairman, Peter Davis of THALES eSecurity, for his appointment in leading the Security Workstream within this Group. And at Project Level we have been supporting the Industrial Leadership and dissemination within ESCAPE ( SiC End to end supply chain project) and ResiCAV (Cyber Resilience) project defining a methodology for Cyber Resilience and survivability.

In addition to the above, I was delighted to hear that our ADAS & HAV Conference attracted almost 60 delegates and several Exhibitors at the Warwick WMG Facility earlier this month, with insight provided by several major players including FORD, McLaren Applied, IDIADA and Claytex.

Also great to hear the Security Workstream has been progressing the work on the Methodology for Cyber Resilience with several workshops over the recent months including a well-attended session at Plexal in London Olympic park. Another workshop is being hosted on 19th March by Thales in Reading, to find out more please click here.

In February I was delighted to Chair the first AESIN Executive Steering Board session of 2020, hosted by TATA Motors at the impressive NAIC which has just been opened by HRH Prince of Wales. Thank you to everyone who attended on the day, and look forward to the next few months.

And finally I would like to welcome to our newest members ST Microelectronics to the AESIN Network, and helping us build a stronger and more diverse community. And in support of our members we are introducing a new ‘Spotlight on our members’ section of the newsletter.
